A bit about Herbert Marshall ...

Herbert Marshall (May 23, 1890 - January 22, 1966) was a popular English cinema and theatre actor who overcame the loss of a leg during World War I, to enjoy a long career, initially as a romantic lead and then in character roles. The suave actor spent many years playing romantic leads opposite the likes of Greta Garbo, Marlene Dietrich and Bette Davis, and starring in such classics as The Little Foxes and Trouble in Paradise. He was married five times, once to actress Edna Best, with whom he appears in The Calendar, Michael and Mary and The Faithful Heart.
